Some of the deals are only good for a couple days and others are good for about a month. A couple that are only good through Monday are 20% Off at Performance Bike and 20% Off selected items at Bike Nashbar.

September 8th, 2006Labor Day Weekend
September 6th, 2006
Julie left Thursday evening for a road trip with her friend and they didn’t come back until Monday night. She left the girls with me so my only riding for the weekend was to a park a couple miles away. That’s about as far as I can go with them in the Burley because Cassidy pulls Danielle’s hair when she gets upset or frustrated. When we just had Danielle, I used to be able to get in an hour and a half pulling the Burley.
Sunday evening I took them to Memorial Park for the 30th Annual Colorado Balloon Classic. In the evening they have a Ballon Glo. They set the balloons up just before it gets dark. When they fire the burners in the dark, the balloons light up. It really is a beautiful sight! The last 2 years they’ve let people walk inside one of the balloons before it is completely inflated. That helps give an idea of how big the balloons are. Danielle really enjoyed and Cassidy did for a little bit but it wasn’t too long before she was needing to be in bed. I have several pictures posted on my website.
Singletrack Threatened in Idaho and Montana
September 5th, 2006I’m slow getting this posted but a dangerous new Forest Service policy could close hundreds of miles of singletrack in Idaho and Montana. “This could become the largest access issue in five years,” warns Jenn Dice, IMBA’s government affairs director. This policy would expel mountain bikers from more than 700 miles of singletrack in Montana and Idaho and, if left unchallenged, could set national precedent.
An alert from IMBA has more details. There is a link to an online form to let the Forest Service know what you think. It must be submitted by September 7th so do it today..
