The Sand Creek Series final is this Saturday. It’s also the mountain bike race for the State Games of America. Today at 5 PM is the deadline to register online.
Racers will be doing 1 or 2 laps of the Falcon Trail at the Air Force Academy. First racers will start at 8 AM with other classes starting a few minutes after.
The start/finish will be just northwest of the Falcon Stadium parking lot. From the course map, it appears the start is across Academy Drive from the parking lot. Check the Sand Creek Sports site for more info.
It’s a great course. I’m bummed because I’d like to race it. This is my last big training weekend for the Leadville 100 and I’ll be training on the Leadville course instead.

I'm not quite to racing shape yet, either, so will be skipping this one. I, too, will be training elsewhere. It is a great course, though – one of my favorite rides in the area.
