Before the Leadville 100 mountain bike race, there was some buzz about Lance Armstrong’s sweet bike after VeloNews had a short article on it. It’s full suspension and was under 22 pounds without bottle cages, computer and seat pack. Even with those is was still under 23 pounds.
I got a close look at it the afternoon before the race. The engine is more important but I sure wouldn’t complain if I had his bike. Here are the specs for Lance’s Trek Top Fuel 9.8 for the 2008 Leadville 100 according to Ben Coates post on the Trek blog and the info he provided to VeloNews.

In the videos and photo’s during the race. You can see Lance is on Stan’s rims and tires.
I haven’t found any pictures during the race where I can tell for sure what rims and tires are on Lance’s bike. In one picture it looked like the Bontrager colors on the tire label but I couldn’t tell for sure. Stan’s clearly weren’t on the afternoon before but it would have been easy to swap wheels. Can anyone point me to a good high res shot of the wheels and tires during the race?
I did this race and road with LA, and that's not the equipment he used for the race.
Great Lakes HSA, I also did the race but was never close enough on race day to get a good look at his bike. I only saw him fly down Columbine as I was crawling up. In the videos of Lance racing Leadville and photos I saw, he appears to be on this bike.
