There's no place like Chamonix for inspiring equal parts freeride style and technical chops, and few pieces of gear bring the two together like Black Crows' Corpus Men's Jacket. With a freeride look and mild militatry inspiration, the Corpus is as stylish as they come but has the mountaineering DNA that most steezy freeride jackets don't. It's made of rugged nylon, finished with fully taped seams, and laminated to a waterproof and breathable three layer Gore Tex membrane, so alpine storms don't stand a chance, and it has a helmet compatible hood and removable powder skirt that keep wind off your dome and blower pow from creeping up your back. If you trade the resort for the skintrack, you'll dig the Corpus' zippered underarm vents, which let you dump heat and prevent sweat from building up while you're heading for the top of your line. At the wrists, inner Lycra cuffs and hook and loop tabs prevent snow from flying up your sleeves, and dual drawcords at the hem and waist let you fine tune your style and increase your storm protection as the weather changes. Black Crows also cut the Corpus with a fishtail hem to set it apart from the masses, gave it six external pockets, including one on the back hem, and finished it off with a Recco reflector for a little extra safety in the event of an inbounds mishap.
