Black Diamond designed its Creek 20 Backpack to be a simple, burly, and versatile on route pack that can be worn or hauled up the wall. It's made from a stout 1200D polyester with a TPU coating to protect your gear, but also sports a molded back panel with padded shoulder straps and hip belt to keep it comfortable both during the approach and on the wall. The haul bag style base keeps the pack upright when you're loading the it up, and the zippered front flap pocket grants access to internal organizer pockets where topo maps and food can be stored. The drawcord skirt can be supported by the stowable rain flap when precip forces you to abandon your objective, but it also doubles as a helmet and rope holder. Black Diamond also attached two top grab handles that double as haul points along with stowable shoulder straps and a removable hip belt for smooth and easy hauling.
