Breezer Beltway 8 Road Bike 2016. Some bikes are just a wee bit different than others. The Breezer Beltway 8, for example, goes its own direction, offering incredibly sophisticated components like a Gates carbon belt drive system, Breezer Eccentric Bottom Bracket, and Shimano hydraulic brakes. The payoff is in the superior ride quality and low maintenance required. The Beltway 8 features Breezer's highly refined D'fusion tubing that both dampens vibration and adds pivotal control to the front end. It's visually pleasing Apex disc mounts tuck your rear brake caliper on the inside of the frame, leaving the bike with a sleeker look. The aluminum disc fork outfitted to the frame has low rider mounts for hauling extra stuff around town or on tour. The star of the show here is the Gates carbon belt drivetrain. Incredibly precise and efficient, the Gates system is perceived to be one of the best around. A 46 tooth Gates centertrack sprocket is outfitted to a 2 piece Breezer crank and a Shimano Alfine 8 speed shifter and internally geared rear hub handle every change in grade or cadence. Proven Vera rims and Schwalbe City Lite tires with puncture resistance are more than capable on tough pavement. The WTB Silverado Comp, a popular choice with the mountain biking crowd, makes an appearance on the Breezer 8 for the sake of your rear end. Finally, Shimano hydraulic brakes provide incredible power at your fingertips and can even handle adverse conditions when rim brakes would be more challenged.
