Not content resting on numerous awards, the Capita Women's Birds of a Feather Snowboard takes flight as one of the premier all terrain freestyle boards on the market, thanks to continual improvements in its design and construction. New for this year, a DS Select RFC Sustainable core offers high levels of snap, with a mid level flex for smooth riding anywhere on the mountain. Also, the upgraded Fortress KEVLAR bound sidewalls ensure robust durability, giving your board substantial reinforcement in the case of a rail or rock impact. The Birds of a Feather Snowboard features a true twin shape, making it a blast to float backside 180s into powder and spin through the jump line. Its Hybrid Camber profile is more aggressive than many hybrid rocker profiles on the market, due to it being predominately camber. Camber runs underfoot, just 5 millimeters past the binding inserts. After the binding inserts, large flat zones i. e. zero camber transition into a slight rocker just before the tip and tail kicks. Ultimately, this camber flat rocker profile delivers the powerful edge hold and aggressive feel of a predominately camber board, but with large flat zones for boosting ollies and stomping landings with authority. The small bit of rocker at the tip and tail increases float in deep snow, also providing a catch free feel for pressing, buttering, and dorking around the mountain. The new DS Select RFC Sustainable Core is comprised of poplar wood, which delivers a ton of snap, as well as a consistently smooth flex from tip to tail. Beech inserts under the bindings add extra stomping power and durability where you need it most. 2x 30 millimeter carbon fiber beams boost response and liveliness while reducing chatter. And to keep you from bogging down in deep snow, this board features a highly absorbent Wax infused Enduro base for blistering speed.
