A work boot needs to be able to work in any condition, which is why Chrome created both the 415 and the Storm 415 Work Boots that are featured here. With Chrome's Storm technology, the 415 combines the hardworking, waterproof durability that's required for daily riding with the laid back San Francisco styling of its 415 namesake. Chrome constructed the uppers of the Storm 415 Work Boots from an oiled, full grain leather. On top of this, the shoes feature the Chrome's Storm waterproof technology an internal membrane of four layer breathable, waterproof fabric. And to make sure that absolutely no water get's through, Chrome also gave the Storm a fully taped seam construction. The uppers were attached to the last and sole using vulcanized construction, which also provides a flexible, yet durable sole. At the footbed, Chrome used a contoured polyurethane that's impact resistant and features a blown rubber midsole wedge for comfort. The soles are board lasted for pedaling comfort, which is really why Chrome created the 415 Work Boots in the first place. Outside of the 415's commuter advantages, Chrome made them to be the ultimate freestylelifestyle shoe. The heel is protected from bails by a rubber heel cup, and the midsole is reinforced with a nylonglass fiber shank. The 415's moderate profile also makes it easy to get in and out of either toe straps or cages. So, you don't have to go down with the ship when the ship is sinking. Finishing off the shoes are steel aglets that keep the laces from fraying, a padded collar at the ankle, and reflective rear loops that increases your visibility to motorists in low light conditions. The Chrome 415 Storm Work Boots are available in odd and even sizes from 5. 0 through 13. 0 and in the colors Black and Sand.
