Designed by French big mountain legend Xavier De Le Rue, the Deeluxe Men's XVe Speedlace Splitboard Boot was crafted with the longest days and most demanding missions in mind. Armed with just about every feature imaginable to tackle terrifying chutes, couloirs, and spines, this expedition boot handles big mountain business with unrivaled performance and protection. C3 Lacing is designed with three zones, allowing the heel, forefoot, and shaft zones to be isolated and laced separately. Separate lacing systems for the forefoot and shaft zones enhance comfort by providing a means to adjust these specific areas, while the middle lacing holds the heel and stabilizes the ankle to ensure your boot is combat ready and fully functional. Custom Flex construction enables you to adjust the support and responsiveness depending on the terrain, and the micro adjustment Boa allows you to dial in the perfect fit and flex. Precise stitching and a sandwich construction, paired with a Sympatex membrane, ensures you're protected from the harsh elements all day long, keeping your feet warm, dry, and happy. Not only does the Sympatex construction block out nasty weather, but its waterproof lining creates an excellent micro climate through quick drying, moisture wicking performance. Additionally, the attached snow cover bulks up the defense against precipitation for a longer lasting boot. Extra Long Stride technology lets you loosen a powerstrap in the rear of the boot to extend your stride by 20 30cm when you're skinning, ultimately resulting in superior efficiency and comfort. Rounding out this boot, you'll notice a rugged mountaineering inspired outsole. This Vibram East Ridge sole gives you the mountain goat like grip needed to ascend steeper faces and climb precipitous ridgelines. Deeluxe also added a plastic backwelt with a grooved heel for rocking semi automatic crampons in treacherous terrain.
