Diamondback Overdrive Comp 27.5 Mountain Bike 2017. The Diamondback Overdrive Comp 27.5 appeals to a wide range of riders, both for its simplicity and its versatility. Because it's a hardtail, it's less complicated than a full suspension bike, requires less setup and tuning, and simply weighs a little less, too. In short, the Overdrive Comp makes a great ride for anyone looking for an easy path into mountain biking. But even for intermediate riders, the Overdrive Comp will deliver some serious off road and local park fun. The Overdrive Comp is comfortable to ride thanks to its responsive alloy frame. And it's spec'd with high quality performance components, all of them built as rugged as you'd expect a mountain bike to be. If you're ready to try your hand at some tight and twisty trails, rolling terrain, gravel or fire roads, the Overdrive Comp 27.5 is the mountain bike for your off road adventures. The Overdrive Comp has an aluminum frame mated with a cross country quality Rock Shox Silver fork that has 100mm of travel to soak up the terrain. To dial the fork in, it comes with rebound control, rebound adjust and fork lockout when you're riding on pavement. A SRAM NX 1x11 speed drivetrain supplies a wide range of gearing options for steep ascents or long descents. Up front is a SRAM NX 1x, single X Sync 30 tooth ring that will take the sting out of your gearing choice. Again, simplicity at work to make your riding, and your ride, easier. A set of Diamondback Blanchard 25 tubeless compatible alloy wheels hook up with Kenda Honey Badger tires for responsiveness and grip on the trail. The Overdrive Comp is outfitted with Shimano Br M355 Hydraulic Disc brakes with 180mm and 160mm Center Lock Rotors. Besides their more consistent braking power, discs increase the life of your wheels because braking is done on a rotor instead of the wheel rim itself. Plus disc brakes provide substantial power at your fingertips. Finally, a Diamondback Race M Series Saddle and rubber Kraton 135mm grips provide the support and comfort you want on the trail at two vital touch points to help keep you in control.
