Open the flat, intake valve on the bottom side of the Pillow Pump and place you hand or foot over the opening and compress with a pumping motion. The Pillow Pump will draw in fresh air after each compression and with each new compression air rapidly fills the sleeping pad at an average of about 25 pumps, depending on the size pad you are inflating. When finished filling your Exped sleeping pad not included with air, detach the Pillow Pump, blow a single breath into the valve at the end of the tube and you have a light weight comfortable pillow.Two loops along the back side of the Pillow Pump attach to the Exped sleeping pads to keep the Pillow Pump under your head throughout the night. The ergonomic shape of the pillow allows it to fit comfortably tucked beneath the head and shoulder for side sleepers and supportive at the base of the neck for back sleepers.
