With about 150 inches of annual rainfall, Olympic National Park is one of the rainier places in the lower 48 and will put your waterproof gear to the test. Designed for these kind of climates, the Exped Torrent 30 Backpack will keep your gear dry thanks to a super burly construction, waterproof TPU laminate, and roll top closure. The Torrent 30 is similar to a dry bag in design, but it's fitted with a HDPE framesheet and padded shoulder straps for support and comfort when hiking with a heavy load. The Torrent also comes with a hip belt that can be removed, if you're wearing the pack with a harness. Getting in and out of the Torrent can take time and subject your gear to rain, so Exped put gear loops along the sides and front of the pack where frequently used equipment can be clipped for quick access.
