When it comes to lumen output on a cycling light, your general commuter type is likely happy with a small model with a 120 lumen output. Or less. But for fast descents or off road riding after dark, Exposure's Equinox Mk2 Headlight Pack with Wireless Remote Switch is the obvious choice. The 1,200 to 2,000 lumen output will last anywhere from 1 to 24 hours depending on mode selection but that time can be extended with the included Support Cell, which provides an extra, external power source for nights when you're burning the candle at both ends. Like all Exposure lights, the Equinox uses the Optimized Mode Selector to easily choose programs to maximize the potential of your light for everything from 24hr power laps, to quick trail outings, to daily commutes. The CNC machined aluminum body is equal to the abuse of whatever use you put it to, and it also boasts the same heat dissipating qualities that recommend aluminum for temperature management in disc brake rotors. This helps keep the internals cool by transferring heat to the atmosphere and not the lamp itself, which in turn extends the batteries' lives during extended periods of heavy use. Exposure's Intelligent Thermal Management ITM also does its part in this regard, automatically adjusting power levels when the light heats up.
