Watch Candide ski and you'll know how hard his style is to define. Is he a park rider' A big mountain skier' A freerider' Truth is, he mixes them all together into a tasty, steezy, and inimitable shred soup, so it stands to reason that he needs a unique board like the Candide 1. 0 Ski to get it done. Just like the man himself, the ski blends the best of all types of riding, with a fully symmetrical sidecut and rockered tip and tail that are designed to allow easy switch riding, generous camber underfoot for plenty of pop and edging power, and a burly sandwich construction that can take a beating from rails, rocks, and heavy stomps without delamming or otherwise causing you trouble. While it can rally the whole mountain like it's no big deal, the Candide is happiest when it's flying off features, whether it's in the park or around the mountain. Faction built it with a lively poplar and beech core, along with a snappy fiberglass laminate, that lets you butter, boost, and bonk your way from the top of the hill to the bottom. A carbon fiber reinforcement stops rails and hard impacts from knocking the springy stuffing out of your skis, and the 2. 5mm steel edges have been hardened to 48 Rockwell to prevent urban jibs and buried rocks from causing blowouts.
