Fuji Rakan 29r 1.1 Full Suspension Mountain Bike 2016. Fuji is justly famous for its road, tri, and cross bikes, and now their newest line of mountain bikes will solidify their rep for innovation, quality, and value in the canyons and mountain trails the Rakan is built for. Designed primarily for XC and mountain trails, the Rakan 1.1 features the innovative M Link suspension pioneered by Fuji's sister company, Breezer, a legendary mountain bike company in their own right. MLink is a four bar linkage system that uses a mid length linkage in the rear triangle. This combines the suspension tuning previously possible on only short link systems with the geometry advantages of long link systems. MLink's longer links rotate less than short link systems, reducing stress on pivot bearings. MLink connects the seatstays and chainstays for better triangulation and a stiffer rear swingarm, while still taking advantage of shorter rear chainstay geometry, which means your ride is smoother with less bobbing, and substantially more efficient. Built around Fuji's highly regarded A6 SL custom butted aluminum frame and outfitted with uber reliable Sram and Shimano components, you'll climb like a mountain goat and hug those trails tighter than you thought possible, and with its Fox rear shocks and fork, with 120mm of travel, and an 11 speed crank, you might run out of hills before you get tired. Internal cable routing, optimized for side swing front derailleurs, provides a clean look and tidy cable management. The Rakan features 29 Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires, which grip whatever trail you can find, and DT Swiss wheels will stay true even after months of punishment. So why is it called Rakan Well, according to Buddhist scriptures, a Rakan is an evolved soul on its way to enlightenment. We're not saying you'll reach nirvana on the new Rakan 1.1, but we're not saying you won't either.
