The Garmin Edge Touring is designed for the rider who cares less about heart rates than they do about where they're headed. It'll offer 17 hours of turn by turn navigation, but it's not going to tell you how many beats per minute you're up to on that climb. You can search for a destination within the Edge Touring, without using a computer ahead of time. The microSD card is preloaded with bike ready maps, and will route you through paths, back roads, and scenic detours if you tell it to do so. The display is a nice, large 1. 4 x 2. 2 inches, and it's easy to see in almost any kind of light or lack thereof. Please note that the Edge Touring is not compatible with heart rate monitors or powermeters.
