The new FR Zero jacket is designed to provide ultimate warmth without the typical bulk of multiple layers, it borrows from aerospace technology to redefine insulation. The FR 0 jacket has both a shell and removable insulation vest that zips in. The inner removable vest is made of revolutionary fabric that is a vaporized aluminum coating just a few nanometers thick reflecting up to 75% of your body heat. The tremendous heat reflecting properties result in up to 3.6 C less heat loss for incredibly efficient insulation. The reflective material is composed of three layers that are thinner than ever, making the vest and hood more compactible and allowing for greater freedom of movement on the bike. Giordana has developed a lightweight non porous polyester membrane to work in tandem with the fabric to ventilate while insulating. The membrane is wind and water resistant, highly breathable and invisibly laminated between the lining and the outer surface. Rear reflective elements add visibility.
