Made of Moovix nylonLycraR material, which has a unique honeycomb structure that allows it to stretch not just in the traditional two directions, but on the bias too. Moovix fabric provides a higher compression rate than other materials in the line for those who prefer more compression. A second fabric, Ametista, has threads of carbon woven into it to control stretch and reinforce the strength of the material, allowing it to be lighter, yet stronger. Carbon has the added benefit of reducing electrical interference from cell phone towers and power lines that can negatively affect performance. Ametista is utilized on the Giordana Core Contour System around the waist where it wraps internal organs with protective carbon, delaying the onset of fatigue. The waistband is borrowed from the elite FR C short where Ametista is backed with Antigua to form the Aerofix Gripper System, holding the shorts perfectly in place with a seamless feel.
