Short finger gloves or even no gloves are certainly the norm on road bikes, but it never made much sense to us that'd you'd give up the protection on the most sensitive part of your fingers just because you're riding skinny tires. And, with ever more of our 'road' rides encompassing a variety of surface types, this is even more true. Fortunately, Giro's created a glove that breathes well enough to be worn on even the hottest days, but still provides that full finger protection we want when the going gets gravelly.
