Like the more expensive Giro helmets, the Revel is designed using the In Mold Construction method. This means that the exterior polycarbonate shell is fused with the foam liner so that the two work as one in the event of a crash. The EPS liner is also identical to Giro's other helmets because Giro doesn't think that your head is worth any less than that of a pro rider. And you get 22 vents incorporated into the shell to move air across your head so that you keep cool. Giro also added a removable visor for those sunny days. To secure it to your head, Giro uses the Acu Dial retention system.
