Gore Bike Wear knows that cyclists prefer the full upper body coverage provided by its softshell jackets, but it also knows that sometimes a vest is more in order. That's why it developed the new Power SO Thermo Vest, which uses the same proven WindStopper material as its element blocking jackets, only in a more versatile and layer friendly design. Similar to other protective outerwear layers in Gore's POWER line, the Power SO Thermo vest was constructed using WindStopper Soft Shell fabric. This is essentially a fleece lined, membrane backed stretchy material that moves with you while riding. The characteristics of this fabric are ideal for exercising in cool and cold weather, as Soft Shell provides a light, flexible layer of insulation, yet it also blocks the wind and rain with its inner membrane. WindStopper provides the comfort of a mid layer and the water resistance of a shell all in one. Additionally, this material's composition also breathes incredibly well, which allows moisture to escape from within, rather than collecting inside and chilling your body like other membrane layers. This means that your body remains warm, dry, and comfortable during all of your rides. Gore Bike Wear describes the fit of the Power SO as slim, which means that it stays close to the body without constricting. Gore Bike Wear took a minimalist approach when designing the vest, so there's only a single mesh pocket on the lower back panel. But there's also a zippered pouch below this that houses a detachable storage bag LOKSAK for sealing off your electronic devices from the elements. The tall collar is fleece lined, and there's a partially elasticized hem. Gore finished off the vest with reflective elements on the front, sides, and back. The Gore Bike Wear Power SO Thermo Vest is available in five sizes from Small to XX Large and in the colors Blackwhite, Neon Yellowblack, and Redwhite.
