A legendary powder deck, the Jones Hovercraft Snowboard is named for providing unbelievable float across the deepest snow on the planet. Think powder slashes in Hokkaido, bottomless turns in Colorado, and dreamy snowscapes in Switzerland for the Hovercraft's preferred terrain. However, don't be fooled be fooled by this seemingly single minded pow surfer. The Hovercraft slices through crud and holds an edge across hardpack with razor sharp precision, courtesy of Mellow Magne Traction edges, camber underfoot, and a responsive flex pattern. Responsible for much of the board's float, the tapered swallowtail shape naturally drops the rear end in powder, with the gigantic nose hovering across the snow without sinking. Directional Rocker places responsive camber underfoot for carving aggressively across hardpack when high pressure blocks storms for weeks at a time. For those days when the snow gods bless your local mountain, the lengthened nose rocker keeps you from sinking, while a subtle tail rocker releases the back end for smooth slashes without hanging up. New for this season, Spoon 4. 0 upturns the base edges of the nose and tail in a 3D, spoon like shape. This spoon shaped base contour redirects snow around the front of the board, preventing it from plowing for a smoother sensation when you're riding powder and carving up corduroy. Maximizing your velocity, the concave Speed Channel tail releases loose snow for a burst of speed upon exiting each turn. Ultimately, the Spoon 4. 0 base contour enhances turning fluidity while maximizing float for a more effortless ride.
