K2's Konic Technology uses heavier material closer to the edges of the ski, and lighter material in the center. By having heavier material towards the edges of the ski you get a lower swingweight and easier maneuverability. A Tapered Tip and Tail prevents the Pinnacle 85 from getting hung up in deep snow or moguls. K2's TwinTech Sidewalls hold a solid edge on firm snow and increase the torsional strength for when you really start to pick up speed.
