The Women's La Sportiva Frost GTX Boot is designed specifically for the woman who isn't going to let a little thing like a frozen radiator hose keep her from getting outside and having a good time. The impressive list of winter specific features on this boot make it clear that La Sportiva spared no expense in creating a boot that won't back down from anything. Starting from the inside out, we find a wide toebox that can easily accommodate the thickest winter socks so you're not left choosing between having to wear a thin sock or feeling as if your digits are being squeezed in an icebox. A Trailon high insulation EVA midsole helps to reduce heat transmission and prevent, as much as possible, heat being transferred from your foot to the cold ground. Moving outward we find a Gore Tex insulated comfort lining, the warmest waterproof liner material that Gore Tex has to offer. For the outside of the boot La Sportiva used rubber, nylon and an abrasion resistant microfiber that together provide durable, waterproof protection all day. Last, but certainly not least, La Sportiva added a Vibram Ice Trek sole to provide traction when things get icy, and also to help prevent ice build up on the soles of the boots.
