Louis Garneau's new Element Tights were designed to be the ideal multi purpose, lower body layer for exercising in cool and cold weather conditions. In fact, the tights were developed to be worn for more than just cycling, as their construction features a slightly looser paneling design than that of traditional bike specific tights, which makes them perfect for both running and skiing, too. The Element Tights were made with two of Garneau's signature barrier fabrics. For the majority of the paneling, a material known as Vertexx was employed. This fabric features a smooth outer surface and a brushed back lining. This stretchy fabric strikes a fine balance between keeping you warm without restricting movement or feeling bulky. Vertexx's composition works to keep your legs warm, while at the same time, ensures that you stay dry through its exceptional wicking capabilities. For the front panels and backs of the legs, Garneau strategically placed its Light WindDry 2 material, as these zones take the brunt of the wind, rain, and snow during your late season workouts. This two ply material is made from a micro perforated polyurethane membrane, which both wicks moisture and provides water and windproof protection against the elements. Rounding out the tights, Garneau included 9 inch ankle zips for easy removal, and a generous amount of reflective logos and piping were added to the paneling in order to keep you seen by motorists in low light riding conditions. An elastic waist with drawstring secures the fit up top, and articulated knees provide a full range of motion. The Louis Garneau Element Tights are available in five sizes from Small to XX Large and in the color Black. Please note that these tights do not feature a chamois.
