Ridges riddled with rocks, trails covered with downed trees, and washed out steeps are easy obstacles for the Lowa Men's Trekker Backpacking Boot. The nubuck leather upper has a close to the foot feel to reduce that loose, sloppy feel when navigating steep sections of trail where solid footing is limited. Lowa's C4 tongue is made with fifteen different pieces to give it a more natural, forward flexing feel with each step, while the addition of nylon shanks in the heel and forefoot add to the boot's overall stability. For the sole, Lowa went with a Vibram Tactis DST rubber with a tread pattern that will bite on everything from packed out trails below treeline to loose scree in the high mountains.
