Marin Attack Trail 8 27.5 Mountain Bike 2017. If you're looking for the perfect enduro or all mountain shred machine, you've found your mate. The Marin Attack Trail 8 27.5 mountain bike features a robust build, plenty of suspension, and a spec package that delivers plenty of value for the money. Let's start this journey by taking a look at the frame. To serve up a durable and lightweight ride, Marin went with 6061 aluminum throughout, ensure you can get up the climbs easily but still robust enough to tackle even the gnarliest rock gardens without a worry. Suspension duties are handled by an RockShox Monarch RT Debonair shock with a 200x57mm stroke and lockout. Up front, a RockShox Pike RC Solo Air 27.5 fork serves up a cushy 160mm of travel and a nice and stiff 15mm thru axle. Shifting duties fall to Shimano's SLX M7000 group. This thoroughly modern 1x11 groupset features an 11 42T cassette in the rear and a single 32T chainring up front. Not only does going 1x simplify shifting and save weight, but it also improves performance by minimizing the chances of dropped chains. Stopping is handled by a set of Shimano's excellent and reliable SLX hydraulic disc brakes with beefy 180mm rotors to slow your roll on a dime. The bike glides on a set of aluminum doublewall rims laced to Formula hubs, featuring a 100x15mm thru axle front and 142x12mm thru axle rear. The wheels are wrapped up in Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.35 tires making this bike trail ready right out of the box.
