Robust, double wall construction, fully taped seams and a strong pole structure combine to make the Marmot Thor 3P mountaineering tent an excellent option for complete weatherproof coverage for high end mountaineering trips or 4 season backpacking in snowy, wet and windy conditions. The key to building a tent that can withstand heavy use in a harsh winter environment, while offering enough versatility for days spent in the mountains, starts with above average durability in the floor, body and fly of the tent and strong pole architecture. Using a clip and sleeve combination to attach 5 of the 6 DAC NSL, dual diameter poles to the tent body, the Thor 3P ensures good stability, even in heavy snowfall and high winds. An interior floor space of 47 square feet works with the Marmot knees system to increase the useable interior floor space of the Thor 3P, thus providing accommodations for three people while waiting out bad weather. A 6th pole at one of the two doors supports the large front vestibule, affording plenty of room to stow extra gear and space to climb in and out of the tent. Mesh panels on the doors and the ceiling have zip over covers that can be closed to help trap heat or opened to increase ventilation and reduce condensation build up. The vents in the fly can be accessed from inside the tent via these mesh panels. The Thor 3P will keep you and your gear dry in the worst weather due to a full coverage rain fly. Multiple guyout points in the fly allow you to secure the Thor 3P from different angles, and vents that can be opened or closed are built directly into the fly to match up with the mesh paneling of the tent for better ventilation.Additional features of the Marmot Thor 3P tent are reflective light points, snag free zippers and jingle free door pulls. A welded window in the front door gives you quick access to current weather conditions or a great view, and interior pocketing stows items like headlamps, cameras or extra layers. A repair kit and stuff sack are included. 2729 117
