Whether you're a newcomer to the Minimus family or a seasoned supporter with the chiseled calves to prove it, this is a good time to consider the 10v1 Minimus Running Shoe. After changing fit and feel over the last few years, New Balance realized it had a pretty good thing when it first introduced the trail shoe, and took this model back towards the original Minimus' fit. If your feet are on the straighter side and you've got a thing for feeling the ground beneath you, the 4mm drop, flexible feel, and ultralight profile of the Minimus will be right up your alley on smooth, tacky trails and more technical routes alike. New Balance replaced the committing zero drop and zero cushion profile of the original model with a 4mm drop and some light EVA foam on this version, which gives experienced midfoot runners the opportunity to tackle longer days without Achilles pain, and gives newbies to the minimal world a kinder introduction than models past. It also adds a grippy Vibram sole and low profile lugs for added traction on rockier terrain.
