Constructed of waterproof, breathable fabric and odorless, EPA registered Insect Shield fabric, Outdoor Research BugOut Gaiters protect the footwear of hikers and backpackers from debris while repelling mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and other insects.Elastic bottom and top edges work in tandem with a hookloop front closure and boot lace hook to keep the BugOut Gaiters securely in place. A Hypalon instep strap provides further stability. A hookloop shear tab prevents separation at the front, lower portion of the gaiters.
