POC makes the Trabec in a few versions, including the Race version you see above. This version gets more Aramid netting buried within the EPS foam, which means it's even less likely to break apart upon initial impact than the regular Trabec. What else makes the Trabec different It starts with the shape if there's nothing there, how can it protect you The Trabec extends much further down the neck and the sides of your head than other helmets, which means better protection even at the most basic level. POC's aramid structure inside the foam, which holds the foam together in the event of an impact like rebar in concrete, and the super tough polycarbonate shell that disperses impact force across the EPS foam to reduce the amount of impact your dome has to handle, are the helmet equivalent of a seven inch bike you can pedal anywhere.
