Weighing one pound five ounces, the high performance Rab Infinity 300 down sleeping bag offers three season performance for backpackers and fast and light alpine climbers. Premium 850 fill power goose down insulation and Insotect Flow technology baffling create a lightweight, streamlined compressible package for backcountry adventure. The Infinity 300 is insulated with certified 850 fill power European goose down. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, down fibers have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth to weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet. To help protect the down insulation from moisture, high performance and super light Pertex Quantum GL fabrics are treated with a durable water repellant finish that sheds condensation. In an effort to standardize temperature ratings and properly inform consumers, European Norm EN testing uses a thermal mannequin to determine the performance of a sleeping bag in a range of temperatures. The Comfort rating is meant to reflect the temperature at which an average adult woman 132 lbs can enjoy a comfortable night of sleep and a Lower Limit rating is meant to show the temperature at which an average adult male 176 lbs can enjoy a comfortable night's sleep. A third rating, Extreme, is meant only to show the survival rating for a standard woman and is not advisable for use in making buying decisions for general use. NOTE: The testing assumes that the user of the sleeping bag will be using a sleeping pad of 1 thickness and wearing long underwear, a hat and socks. The EN comfort rating of the Infinity 300 is 37 degrees F and the lower limit rating is 28 degrees F.Insotect Flow technology is used to construct the baffles of the Infinity 300. This vertical baffle design provides better thermal value and increased weight reduction. Strategically placed vertical baffles eliminate down shifting by using vertical chambers with which to control the position and density of the down insulation. This technology also enables the user to manually shift the down to preferred locations, customizing the sleeping system to each individual.Despite this lightweight construction, the Infinity 300 makes no sacrifice with regards to performance and features. A contoured, ergonomic hood, insulated draft tube and internal collar seal out cold air and feel soft and comfortable against your skin. A ½ length zipper with anti snag webbing tape offers entry to the bag while improving thermal efficiency. Rab's angled footbox design further ensures warmth and comfort throughout the night. The Rab Infinity 300 down sleeping bag is available in Regular fits up to 6' 2 length. A stuff sack and cotton storage sack are included. QSI 14 LZ
