New to the Sage lineup, the Pulse Fly Rod is designed and built to be the go to workhorse of most anglers with all the solid componentry you'd expect to find on a Sage with a price tag that won't eat into your travel budget for the upcoming fly fishing season. Like most Sage rods, the Pulse is handcrafted in Bainbridge Island, Washington and is made with a Graphite IIIe material, which is constructed with glass scrims within layers of graphite. What does that mean to you' It means the Pulse has a fast action casting feel, is lightweight, and is strong enough to turn the toughest fish you can hook.Sage has made the Pulse available in a wide range of weights and handle options to best suit the wide range of needs of anglers. Freshwater models range in weights from three to seven weights with three to six weights featuring a snub nose, half wells cork handle with a rosewood spacer and up locking reel seat. Six to seven weight options are available with a full wells handle, fighting butt, and anodized spacer and up locking reel seat. All options come in a new lichen color with olive tread wraps and a black trim. The Pulse replaces the Response in Sage's lineup and has a moderate tip flex that is able to make long casts with ease, quickly turn over flies, and even push through headwinds when the afternoon brings obnoxious head winds.
