Scott joins a growing list of companies embracing the new, brain protecting Multi Directional Impact Protection System MIPS design, and the ARX Plus earns the distinction of being the first helmet in the company's road line to use the technology. Designed for everyday rides and races, this sleek, versatile helmet uses trickle down technology from Scott's pro level helmets to keep you safe in the saddle. MIPS refers to Swedish technology added to the helmet in the form of a thin inner layer that rotates slightly upon impact to absorb the brain damaging rotational or sloshing forces created in crashes at oblique angles. Its presence is hardly noticeable beneath the ultralight, In Mold polycarbonateEPS foam body, though especially with the extensive venting channels Scott added throughout the ARX Plus. To make sure the helmet isn't sliding around or squeezing your temples, Scott includes its top end MRAS2 fit adjustment system, which allows for easy customization with the twist of a dial. The helmet is finished with adjustable straps and reflective detailing on the back to help keep you visible in low light conditions.
