The M8000s feature a platform that's 2.8mm wider and with 7.7% more contact area than the M780s. Additionally, the M8000 sports a platform height that's 0.5mm lower to place your shoes that much closer to the spindle. Of course you'll still enjoy consistent, precise engagement and release in even the sloppiest of conditions. Also, the aluminum body and chromoly spindle are up to the challenge of meeting all the punishment you can dole out.
