Shimano XT FD M8020 L 2x11 Front Derailleur

Shimano has completely revamped its XT line this year to create a component group that mirrors much of the technology found in its top end XTR group, but with a more wallet friendly price. The XT FD M8020 L 2x11 Front Derailleur is at the heart of this group, keeping the drivetrain humming through all types of terrain. The M8020 was designed to improve trail riding experience and usher the new 11 speed XT group into a more modern age of mountain bikes. It provides an additional 15mm of tire clearance compared to the older model XT front derailleurs to accommodate larger tires and more suspension travel without any negative impact to shifting. It's also compatible with the shorter chainstays that many new rear suspension systems have incorporated. To make the ride even better, Shimano redesigned its cable routing to facilitate lighter shift operation less energy to shift, more energy for the pedals. The Shimano XT FD M8020 L is a front pull, Side Swing type designed to work effectively with Shimano's new XT 2x11 drivetrain, and includes Shimano's L adapter for Low Clamp mounting. Additional adapters can be purchased for High Clamp, High Direct, and E Type clamp mounts if needed to move the derailleur to a different frame with different clamp requirements.
