Dual gear closets are accessed from inside the tent to keep gear storage out of the way of the door and provide an additional combined 8.2 square feet 4.1 sq. ft. per closet of sheltered space for stashing larger items like packs and boots. The hybrid doublesingle wall design of the Lightning 2 adds stability without weight, while ultra light clips, a single shock corded DAC Pressfit aluminum pole, 15 integrated awning poles that maximize the door opening and drip line without the weight of a support pole, and the uncommonly large single drop door add to the list of great features. The trail weight of the tent is 3 pounds, 14 ounces.Ample mesh on the tent body and a huge covered foot vent that creates ventilation between the foot box and the door provide circulation to fight condensation build up in the Lightning 2. Coated with waterproof polyurethane, the nylon taffeta floor and polyester taffeta rainfly are lightweight and durable.
