Stan's NoTubes' range consistently leads the tubeless industry with unique rim designs and unbeatable tubeless reliability. The Arch EX 27. 5in Boost Wheelset brings this bombproof functionality to the most aggressive, technical trails by combining the fast, light profile of Stan's XC specific Crest and the burly internal arch design of the gravity focused Flow. It's lighter, wider, and even more durable than the original Arch, and it features Boost axle widths for better tracking up front and a more responsive platform in the rear. The Arch EX utilizes Stan's trademark Bead Socket Technology BST. BST features low profile sidewalls that provide a better seat for the tire bead and allow for a pile of benefits compared to standard rims with higher sidewalls. When setup as tubeless, BST provides an exceptional seal while allowing the tire to hold a greater volume of air than rims that place the bead 2 4mm below the edge. This interface allows the tire to maintain its full shape for a wider, more stable rolling platform compared to the same tire mounted on a standard rim. Pairing BST with the ability to run up to 30% lower air pressure than on a standard clincher wheel results in more stability, better handling, solid cornering, and better overall control. These rims are also compatible with standard tubes, and the lower sidewall drastically reduces pinch flat risk by reducing the amount of material present for the tube to pinch against. This means less time sitting in the dust wrestling with a flat at the side of the trail and more time shredding your favorite loops.
