Storck uses its CFRUD Optimized carbon fiber for the Aernario. The UD stands for unidirectional. The Aernario is formed by placing strands of carbon fabric oriented on one axis into each mold. Engineers place the strands in a monocoque shell, meaning that, with the exception of the fork, it is a one piece molded frame. The advantages of this design are lighter weight due to minimal junctures and optimal vibration dampening. The frame sits among the lightest in the industry, and a full 100 grams lighter than the standard Aernario. The Aernario Platinum is complemented by the award winning Stiletto fork. Weighing a mere 280 grams, this latest version of the fork is 60 grams lighter than the original Stiletto. It features a tapered design with a carbon reinforced head tube and a 1 18 1 14inc integrated headset. Working with the aerodynamics to maximize speed is an oversized PressFit BB86 bottom bracket. It works to efficiently transfer power to the drivetrain. Internal electronic cable routing completes the package so that the Aernario Platinum can stake claim on the top step of the podium.
