Syntace is probably not the first name that comes to mind when you're looking for a new wide handlebar for your mountain bike. Yet it's been manufacturing both aluminum and carbon bike components from its German headquarters for years. The Vector Carbon High35 is its latest offering, and it's one of the lightest bars of its width in the world. The Vector Carbon High35 is designed for the riders who are looking for a wide, low rise bar in order to get more control out of their steeds without sacrificing strength. The Vector bars have been constructed from an arrangement of carbon fibers that places additional fibers at critical cross sections. Additionally, an in molded titanium lattice at the stem clamp area protects the handlebar from crushing and slips of the bar. The bar is so strong it has been VR 3 approved. This is the world's toughest test for handlebars and stems. Known as the Red Monster, this machine is able to test bars up to 800mm wide with no rider weight or usage restrictions. This allows Syntace to test the bars to total failure. Therefore, there is no weight restriction placed on the bars. Additionally, Syntace bars feature a 10 year warranty. You'll notice more control, especially on downhills, with the Vector bars. The Syntace Vector Carbon High35 bars are 780mm wide. They weigh either 244 grams for the 8 degree or 251 grams for the 12 degree sweep.
