The Talus Pro GTX from Vasque bridges the gap between a durable, all leather backpacking boot and a svelte, performance driven hiker tuned for speed. For grip they crafted the upper onto a Vibram Nuasi sole, with an XSTrek rubber compound. Molded PU in the midsole gives the cushioning of a running shoe, but with enough support to portage a 40 pound pack.
