Anglers rejoice, you'll never have to jam rods in random straps, place hooks through flimsy fabric, or punch a hole in a hiking pack's bottom compartment again, because Umpqua designed the Surveyor 2000 ZS Backpack specifically for fly fishing. For starters, there are sticky holders for two rod tubes, and the clam shell access allows a full opening so you can grab whatever you need out of the pack. The Surveyor is hydration compatible with you're own reservoir, leaving space for fly boxes in the side water bottle pockets. The flat front pockets are perfect for quickly accessed rain jackets and layers, and the top loft pocket secures sunglasses, keys, and other valuables. For comfort, Umpqua padded the shoulder straps, waist belt, and back panel with foamy ABS. Umpqua also suspended the back panel for extra comfort on long approaches.
