The Light Rail works hand in hand with the lightweight aluminum construction to simplify your setup, reduce weight, and improve performance. To illustrate the function in sum, the Light Rail essentially takes the slider piece that you would normally use to attach your standard bindings to, and transforms it into the baseplate. This means the Light Rail's baseplate slides directly onto the pucks, putting you closer to the board. It also creates a more stable, secure feel so your splitboard performs more like a solid board. The Avalanche Rip Cord release system allows you to undo both straps with the pull of a cord so you can bail out in avalanche rescue situations. A negative forward lean setting allows for longer strides so you can tour across flats more comfortably and efficiently.
