Black Diamond's Drift Skis are lightweight skis designed for superior performance in deep snow. They have a 100 mm waist and an early rise soft flex and wide tip for superior trailbreaking confidence and early float. A traditional sidecut shape improves performance in variable conditions. A semi rocker tail and semi rocker tip shape ensure a great release out of turns. The core is made of lightweight paulownia wood with carbon fiber reinforcements and Torsion Box construction to minimize weight and provide superior torsional stiffness. The brand's Formula One Technology also offers three ribs and SkinLock Tail Tabs for even more torsional stiffness. A wider and longer contact length than the brand's popular Revert Skis gives the Drift a more traditional touring ski feel. These skis are designed for use in about 70 percent powder and 30 percent harder snow. The versatile waist width and underfoot camber gives the rider confidence in varied snow conditions. Racing edges pair well with the stiffness of the skis for great responsiveness and control although they have a softer tip designed for powder.
