Castelli Perfetto Light Short Sleeve Jersey Men's

Before Castelli released the new men's Perfetto Light Jersey, shoulder seasons were just crap shoots. Sometimes the riding would be cold, wet, and windy, and sometimes we would set out under overcast skies only to be betrayed by the forecast and find ourselves grossly overdressed, jersey pockets bulging with unnecessary warmers and wind vests while we spend the final hour of a ride in a miserable, clammy funk. And that's just something we had to deal with, because proper winter jackets and water resistant shells were unbreathable, unwieldy affairs. Even with a Gabba, there was still a gap in conditions where we would have to choose between being over or underdressed however, the versatile Perfetto plugs that gap. It's a lightweight, more breathable option with the same weather resistant qualities and aerodynamic fit that helped the Gabba conquer the cycling world. For years now, Castelli's Gabba has been meeting demands that we didn't even know we had, and the Perfetto is the latest super jersey to extend, and immediately exceed, the breadth of our expectations. It combines a windproof and water resistant Windstopper 150 material on the front, shoulders, and sleeves with a water resistant Nano Light back. The Perfetto's Windstopper panels aren't as intense as the Gabba's Windstopper X Lite Plus Castelli claims it's 25% lighter, protection wise and the Nano Light is insulation free, so the jersey more effectively covers those days in early spring or late fall when all over windproof protection would simply be overkill but conditions definitely warrant something more than a tissue paper climber's jersey. Castelli recommends the Perfetto for warm or damp weather in 50 68 degrees Fahrenheit, but, in our experience, the jersey can easily ride into the 40s with proper layering.
