Ever wished you had a thermostat you could just turn up whenever you got cold in the mountains' Well, the Columbia Women's Heatzone 1000 Turbodown Hooded Jacket is that thermostat. Insulated with both 800 fill down and synthetic insulation, the Heatzone 1000 offers exceptional heat on the coldest days. And if that wasn't enough, Columbia went ahead and took it a step further by lining the jacket with a heat reflective material, so your body heat is re directed back toward you, so you stay even warmer. Since all that warmth isn't going to do you much good if you're wet, the Heatzone has a two layer waterproof, breathable shell at the arms and hood and is treated with a water resistant finish along the nylon body. The goose down is also treated to make it resistant to a little moisture, too.The Heatzone 1000 really shines while skiing and snowboarding, but will work great when you need something warm to wear when you're hiking or camping. The hood is compatible with skiing and snowboarding helmets, and the pocket configuration consists of two hand pockets, a zippered pass pocket, and an internal security pocket for anything you need to keep close to the chest. The hems and cuffs are fully adjustable, and the entire jacket can be stuffed in the one of the hand pockets when you need to bring the jacket along on one of your mountain adventures.
