The SPL binding features a molded polyurethane stirrup that captures your foot with a single pull of the loop strap, resulting in equal tension across the harness without the need to fuss with several individual strap adjusters. To close the binding, a polycarbonate buckle ratchets your heel snugly into place for a secure and comfortable fit. Once locked, it will not slip or loosen. In addition, Crescent Moon has applied the aeronautical engineering principle of redundant design to the binding mechanism. With six rivet locations securing the binding strap to the frame, you could cut the support strap in half and still make it home with your binding intact. To ensure optimal flotation, the Gold 13 Women's snowshoe is balanced to distribute your body weight across the entire shoe. The decking is made from an ultra durable, lightweight material called TGS.
