Fuji Auric 1.1 27.5 Mountain Bike 2016. Sometimes bigger is better. With the introduction of the Auric, Fuji breaks new ground in the long travel, 160mm suspension arena. The Fuji Auric leverages the MLink platform, a Rock Shox Pike RCT3 arguably one of the best long travel forks available, a SRAM X01 11 speed drivetrain, Rock Shox Reverb Shock dropper post, and the best technology and components available to deliver a plush trail experience. The Auric's revolutionary performance stems from the MLink suspension platform, a four bar linkage system that uses a mid length linkage in the rear triangle. This combines the suspension tuning previously possible only on short link systems with the geometry advantages of long link systems, enticing even the most insatiable rippers to drop in. MLink's longer links rotate slower than short link systems, creating less stress on pivot bearings and unlike a long link system, MLink connects the seatstays and chainstays for better triangulation and a stiffer rear swingarm while still taking advantage of shorter rear chainstay geometry. More simply put: MLink brings you the an efficient climbing full suspension bike that won't sacrifice anything on the descents. The Auric delivers a bike so efficient you'll want to ditch the lift and take the long way up before dropping in on your next big descent. Fuji uses their A6 SL Alloy Frame with the Auric. This top of the line lightweight aluminum is butted at multiple points, increasing wall thickness in high stress areas, and shaving material in lower stress areas. This process increases strength and minimizes weight. A tapered head tube, Boost 148 x 12 rear hub spacing a wider rear hub spacing allows you to run wider tires and chainrings without having to lengthen chainstays and without affecting q factor, an oversized hydroformed downtube and press fit 30 bottom bracket meld together to form a stiff, durable and lightweight frame that boosts confidence when hitting corners hard and stabilizes your ride on high speed technical descents. Additionally, the rear brake, dropper post and all derailleur cables are run through the front triangle of the frame for clean aesthetics and smooth operation of components. The frame also accommodates external dropper post cable routing with the addition of cable guides on the seat tube. Finally, the Auric 1.1 is outfitted with a set of stalwart DT Swiss 1700 wheels and burly Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires. If you've never ridden this combination, it's kinda like turning your bike into a Caterpillar truck. The Auric will simply cleave the trail to look for the best traction for handling and speed.
