Giro makes staying safe on your ride affordable and stylish with its women's Verona Helmet, now available with MIPS technology for added protection. With a sleek design that promises not to make you feel weighted down on your ride, the Verona MIPS will serve just as well during your regular training rides as it will in your next charity ride or off road adventure. Giro constructs the Verona MIPS by first bonding its In Mold polycarbonate shell to an impact absorbing EPS foam liner, then adding its version of MIPS, or Multi Directional Impact Protection System. The Swedish technology manifests as a thin, flexible inner layer that rotates slightly upon impact to absorb the brain damaging rebound sloshing effect of oblique crashes. To keep the helmet breathable, Giro includes 22 vents to promote airflow, and a snap fit visor shields against the sun's rays or any raindrops you may encounter mid ride. A reflective decal on the back of the Verona increases your visibility to motorists approaching from behind to further increase safety on your ride, and Giro's Acu Dial fit system allows you to fine tune the fit of the universally sized helmet to ensure that its impact absorbing features are in place when you need them.
