In an age where the simple jersey has morphed into a dimpled body suit and our heads are made to suffer under ventless carapaces in the name of aerodynamics, it's easy to forget that our hands are actually the body part leading into the wind. Fortunately, the folks at Louis Garneau think about this stuff a lot more than we do, and the Vorttice Gloves, with their aerodynamic SpeedTech fabric and elongated, seamless cuffs, return for 2015 with the same recipe for a light handed touch in aerodynamics. At the heart of the Vorttice Glove is Biogel Perforated Padding. Biogel absorbs impacts and vibration to reduce shock induced injury and fatigue. It also virtually eliminates the numbness associated with hours on the bars, and perforations allow air to flow through the glove to keep your hand cool and dry. The Vorttice also employs Garneau's patented Ergo Air Concept, which channels air through the glove to keep your hand cool, dry, and comfortable. The Vorttice's palm is made from a multi panel synthetic fabric that feels natural due to its built in curved finger design. Silicone pullers at the ends of the fingers make it easier to pull the gloves off.
